There's a lot of one liners mostly extremely cliche, juvinile, or both that go nowhere. There's basically no plot, just a series of situations set up for the convenience of the comedians.

No character development. Basically an empty shell of a movie filled with terrible, cheap jokes. I didn't check to see if anyone got a writing credit for this one hard to imagine someone actually PLANNED this dumpster fire , but if someone did they should be embarrassed for this shoddy piece of "work".

I got distracted with a personal matter and quit this movie about halfway through. A couple days later I noticed it said 'Continue watching', and so I did.

When the movie came to its merciful conclusion, I felt like a bad drunk who had been given an opportunity to quit wasting my life but instead threw it away for one more cheap drink.

So, to quash a temporary moment of boredom, I fell back into the meaninglessness that is this movie and I have nothing to show for it.

Don't be a sad wasteful drunk. Watch anything else. Consider yourself warned! Literally one of the worst movies I have ever seen.

We couldn't even finish watching it. Normally I like cheezy, get-the-gang-back-together movies, and I hoped this movie would be a light-hearted, funny, feel-good movie.

The plot was also really boring. Learn from our mistake. Save yourself the pain. Don't rent this movie. I thought, "I like Adam Sandler so this will probably be decent.

I didn't realize he brought every failed actor from his time at SNL to this movie. It's cringey as can be and just lame and boring.

The music and characters are stereotypes I wouldn't want associated with anything. We watched about 15 minutes of a movie I had to fight for, and then I lost the privilege of selecting our date night movies, potentially forever.

Thanks for that Grown Ups. Save your money and your marriage. Choose something else. Terrible movie. Quit watching at the Ave Maria "joke" song.

Didn't like it. Just banter from a bunch of men who never grew up. It's boring from start to finish. Too immature for an adult to watch.

The language and 'jokes' are explicit or suggestive so we can't watch with the kids either. But, unless you like mean spirited chop fights, the humor falls flat.

The basis for the film is that the group of friends gather together after their high school basketball coach passes away in order for them to say their goodbyes which they manage to do but as talk centres around the good old days and the guys watch their children struggle to have fun on a get away the grown ups begin to show their love of their childhood and the film becomes a bonding experience for all involved.

This is a film I actually enjoyed and it doesn't try to be high brow or anything other than what it is which I appreciate and for me the film works thanks to the fact it is low brow comedy.

The sequel which I viewed first was better, but not much. I am surprised Chris Rock demeaned himself to play in it, too, a man I much respect and find very funny in his stand-up shows.

Report abuse. Sooo funny. Great film with a collection of very funny actors. Love the message of not leaving behind where you come from, how friends from childhood are friends for life and being young at heart.

Also great message about how to live a happy life, families and run away when somebody shouts, "Archery roulette! It is not just a film about messages though it is very, very funny.

Whole family enjoyed this, but remember it is a certificate Don't get me wrong there were some funny bits in this film, none that come from Sandler himself but from other lead characters so it was enjoyable as a film to put in on a rainy night, I wouldn't recommend you buy it just to see it early as I don't think it is Sandlers' best work.
