And of course we have the fact that silva has quite an insane physical build It makes a lot of sense that he would be physically superior to ging considering it.
As far as nen goes, who knows Netero did have quite a high opinion of zeno even though zeno is quite old himself, if zilva surpassed zeno then it wouldn't be weird at all that he was a comparable nen user to ging.
And even then, nen is a very relative thing when it comes to fighting. There are many factors which could influence the outcome of the fight.
Anyways, with what we know we can't really assert that ging was stronger than zeno even if netero thought ging was among the top 5 nen users.
For all we know zilva's abilities are perfectly suited to fight ging for example. Well throughout the story there's this notion of being strong is not the same thing as having your abilities designed to killing people.
Silva could have an edge over Ging in his expertise at killing people, even though it's basically inconceiveable that Silva could be stronger by any physical measurement.
Netero was probably a top 5 level character before he went into his additional training. After that he become the undisputed 1. I assume Netero led the special unit in the Hunter before he become the chairman, since that kind of responsibility usually don't belong to the chairman he says in the Hunter's exam that he's supposed to take care of the background stuff as chairman.
We know the said unit of the Hunter is basically never challenged so I think 'top 5' is a perfectly valid standard for the leader of the said unit.
Skill is irrelevent when you have the power level of a Royal Guard or higher if your opponents are mere humans. How do you break someone's concentration if you can't even hurt him?
What should've happened is that any area effect attacks would be able to trade hits with Netero, and of course he cannot possibly outlast any Royal Guard let alone Meryem even if he's trading hits in a very favorable ratio.
Likewise with Adult Gon you're talking about a guy that can stun a Royal Guard Pitou with a normal attack.
This means if his opponent is a human level one even just a slight graze will probably knock you out and then he just have to follow up with one more regular attack and you're dead.
He also has unbelievable speed which means you can get into a similar case as Meryem, where you wouldn't even be able to react to his speed on time before you're already dead.
There's no amount of skill that can make up against someone who has absolute power, at least relatively speaking.
They're also not particularly relevent to the story since unless you see some kind of DBZ inflation, the only characters who are likely to ever hit this level is Gon transformed and Netero 50 years ago and we know those two characters are exceptions amongst exceptions.
If HXH jumped 30 years ahead when it resumes, you wouldn't assume Gon can even hit this level at all, because we know he does not like training and you basically need Netero level of training to realize that potential.
He might even become a top 5 30 years later, but we shouldn't expect him to hit a level where he can instantly kill any human level character in one hit like he displayed in the Ant arc.
Besides, Gon transformed would also be an undisputed 1 if he was actually around longer than a few minutes. As a side note Gon has always been the more talented but he is not as rigorous in training compared to Killua.
It is entirely possible he goes through life without ever coming close to his potential. We can easily see that most people in HXH considers training as a low priority, even guys who live in life and death situations.

Knuckle did not have the right ability for it he would have needed more help and murao did show he was capable of restraining pufu for a while with his ability in spite of the fact that murao's aura should have been several times weaker than that of pufu.
And to boot it does seem like there are hunters out there significantly stronger than either of them. I would argue it is within the realm of possibilities for exceptional humans to defeat the guards.
The king would be a different matter even before the rose. The king did not only have a lot more power than his subordinates but he also had an intellect to at least match his power if not surpass it.
Unfathomable power along with unfathomable intelligence is tough if not impossible to beat in HxH. Ging defeated Razor who presumably was a professional murderer too so at least his base stats is high enough to capture someone who is definitely skilled in the way of killing.
Now Silva could be more skilled but then he might not be. If Ging has low physical stats then it must follow that his special ability has to be truly crazy because otherwise he wouldn't even be able to defeat Razor.
I really don't see how the Hunters could've come up with a better team to support Netero despite the Zodiac's claim to do so, because it'd mean they're totally irresponsible in the first place and let their chairman take on needless risk.
Morel was able to restrain Pufu because he sat still a few seconds drooling over his obsession with Meryem. If he was normally alert there would never be the opportunity to put the smoke jail around him.
Against Yupi, Knuckles could've waited like 15 minutes or whatever it takes for him to bankrupt, but by then the battle would've been over.

He is excellent to hack alone or in company, easy to lead another horse or two! He is good to clip, shoe, load and travel on lorries or trailers. He is a v straight forward ride and not sharp.
He is vice and blemish free, open to any vetting. He has tonnes of presence and character and is a firm favourite on the yard. Has mainly had a career hunting but has attended many hunter trials, teamchased and been schooled regularly over xc fences and sj.
Scooby has been to training shows, and is being produced to event. Proving to be very genuine and uncomplicated. Recently ridden around courses and XC schooled by a small 16 year old girl.

He is well schooled on the flat but has done very little jumping. He was shown in hand a few times gaining some good results. He has not been over shown but what he has done at county level ,he has achieved some great results.

Hunts either in a snaffle or a 2 ring gag. He is a straight athletic moving horse, who works well in the school and has been to a couple of dressage shows.
For a big boy he is very light on his feet and nimble over rails and fences. Kenny hacks alone or in company, he is good in everyday traffic, is good to lead another horse off.
He is good to load and travel on a trailer or lorry. Kenny would suit a hunting home but would turn his hoof to anything- he would be a brilliant all rounder to compete in dressage, showing or eventing.

He has has been out with the Middleton most recently and gave me the best days - he is very mannerly and jumps anything in his way and looks a picture while doing so!

Brabazon Kate aka Mo is a Mo is an absolute dream to ride out hunting and will do anything that is asked of her, including hedges, wire, banks, ditches and rails.
She is happy to be at the front or back of the field and will stand perfectly at the meet and throughout the day. She is super careful on her feet and will go through any terrain without any trouble, making her ideal and safe to take out at any location.
She loves the hounds and and is extremely well mannered on the field and never kicks out at any of the horses. She has also been part of the inter hunt relay team at Royal Cornwall.
Mo loves to be busy, so needs to go to a home where she is out having fun doing lots of different activities.
She enjoys hacking, fun rides, cross country, beach rides and low level competitions. For the past four years she has attended adult camp at Chyverton and has been a pleasure to take.
I have regularly competed Mo up to 80cms in showjumping and she has come away with many rosettes. I have also had success in working hunter classes.
Mo goes well in the school, however this is not what she wants to be doing constantly as her preference is on the hunt field. Mo is good to handle, catch, shoe fronts only , clip, load has not been in a trailer for a few years , travel, bath and with the vet for routine vaccinations and teeth.
She is up to date with everything, including her back. Mo has lovely manners in the stable and is not mareish. Mo is hacked regularly along country roads alone and in company.
She is good in open spaces. This is an exceedingly heart breaking decision after nearly four years of owning Mo, but I want to move up the levels on a more competitive horse and event, however Mo is not suited to this.
Absolutely NO time wasters or dealers as this is a very difficult sale. Based in Cornwall. He can be green as still young and will need a confident rider.

Honestly, after seeing what netero could do, I can't imagine a human being actually matching him. Remember when mereum fought netero and just wondered how he could have gotten to that point?
At the moment mereum speculated that reaching the point netero did was something that could be done by abandoning oneself to some sort of madness for 5 or 10 years Overall I don't think netero would be someone who could be matched by just about your run of the mill proficient high level nen user, it would have to be someone who actually had it in him to find some insanity like netero did and abandoning himself to it for at least the same amount of time netero did.
Which takes us back to transformed gon That transformation was not just anything, it was the realization of gon's full potential. Killua made the point that such a nen should require years or decades worth of training.
What kind of training? Who knows but its not too far fetched that that being gon's full potential was the nen he would have acquired after a lifetime worth of being subjected to some sort of insanity like netero did.

The king was presumably not just stronger than the royal guards but rather MUCH stronger. So gon with his transformation would have presumably had nen as strong as the king's at that point.

In the new anime in 2nd episode, 16th minute we have zooming and Kurapica saying "those tatoos, you're It's a clear example of hand-holding. The same goes for the bus.
So, episode Yeah, that wasn't very good. It's like I'm watching 4Kids Hunter or something. I could deal with them toning down the violence caused by Hisoka, but his freaking character as well?
In the manga he decided on his own to "play the judge" because he was bored out of his mind and thus needed to go on a little killing spree in order to spice things up.
Here he's just defending himself from the idiots who attacked him first, what a nice guy! Then they went and overdid his fascination with Gon at this point in the story, which should be nowhere near the level they already made it out to be.
And this will probably be the last time I mention this, since it'll get old real quick, but Namikawa still sounds very dry and doesn't add nearly as much flavour to the character as Takahashi, nor do his pedobear lines sound as creepy.
The editing was pretty poor, with the scenes all feeling really disjointed and there barely being any music to hold them together and even when there was, their placement was rather hit and miss.
Most of the cuts and changes to the manga canon were detracting and the anime original additions questionable. So yeah, this episode all but confirmed my initial concerns with this remake and it's now pretty much a given it won't live up either to the manga or the first anime adaptation.

Don't know where the original Japanese source is, though again it really doesn't say much. This happened before the Ant arc ended. T: Yes, as an author for Shonen Jump, sometimes I feel lacking compared to you.
T is too modest. When I was an assistant, I always loved your works for their originality. T: I don't like stories based on formula.

I want to show what I have in my mind clearly. O: So, how far is HXH? T: It's hard to say. I have 5 or 6 stories in mind.
If everything goes according to the plan, there should be at least 3 or 4 stories after the Ant arc. Of course sometimes unexpected things happen and mess up your plan.
So, is One Piece over halfway done? O: Yeah. I think I'm in too much of a rush. When a story is halfway done, I'm already thinking about the next story for my readers, so the story becomes rushed.
T: That means you never run out of creativity, which is a good thing.
