You purchase a season pass and you will get each episode 1 episode per week as it is aired on TV. Amazing how in people still struggle with reading comprehension and grasping online TV watching.

It's not bad enough that the show was choppy,disorienting and never quite ended as one could have imagined but the streaming company billed me twice for watching it one time.

Only then did I realize I already saw and owned the second and first season. What a jerk I was for letting them fool me like that.

I see in the future of streaming companies, the same ending for them as the cable companies. They can't wait to raise prices on you or make you life completely miserable.

This can only end with the next latest development and death of this industry. Hell,if the is what I wanted,I would still be hooked up to a cable unit.

Season one was successful. It was well-written, clever, and original. It wasn't perfect, but it was consistently interesting. Season two starts out well and the writing is good, up to a point.

There are eight episodes. Everything works pretty well through the first six episodes. Then, it basically falls apart in episodes seven and eight.

This is disappointing, but not that surprising. Maintaining consistency and momentum is difficult and rare. The problems are all in the writing. The acting is good.

These episodes are also well-directed. As always, the writing is where these things fail. The young boy in this was fantastic, as was the rest of the cast.

I thought Season 2 was even better than Season 1, which I thoroughly enjoyed, even having watched it after I read the book, which is usually the kiss of death for movies and television programs.

This was just the right level of creepy and believable. I really enjoyed this season and found the characters to be as likable as or even more likable than those in the first season although I really enjoyed the first season as well.

I felt like the last episode, or the ending, was contrived. It's as if they weren't sure how to end it, so they chose this wacky ending.

Still, however, loved season 2 and am looking forward to season 3. But in fact, Bess and Adam weren't really kidnapping Julian.

They were just taking him to meet his birth mother. This seems to be plot hole number one, and we never really understand if there was something darker in them taking Julian to meet his birth mom, aside from the fact it makes little sense.

Bess randomly came across Julian's ex-drug addict mom and inexplicably decides to nefariously take Julian to see her — OK. Viewers are struggling to understand why she didn't just "convince Marin and Vera to work things out" and bring the mom back to Mosswood for a while so that the mother and son can reconnect slowly and without the relationship being even more strained than it already is.

Indeed, Marin had nothing to do with Mosswood, and she didn't get pregnant due to abuse in Mosswood or anything like that.

We are chocking this all up to German fiction and the distraction and misdirection it favors in The Sinner 's narration.

But so far, so good, with ample possibilities still in play while Harry's head tries to stay in the game. Season 2 has enough going on it could spin off the rails, but the mere fact it has so much working for it thus far is a big win for everyone involved.

As played by Natalie Paul, [Heather] is a striking presence and there are arresting performances, too, from Tracy Letts as her father and from Carrie Coon The show continues to thrill with its ability to deceive viewers into believing they know where the story is headed.

They don't. At least we got to watch husband and wife Tracy Letts and Carrie Coon balance each other as complementary characters.

It's a middling, dour season of television without an ounce of humor or pathos, a fairly straightforward procedural thriller without much in the way of thrills.

Part VIII. View All Photos Somehow, it worked. It created a bond between them that became an important touchstone throughout the season, especially in the end when Julian convinced Vera to take him back to face the consequences of what he had done.

When he turns to Heather and Jack at the end, finally reaching Niagara Falls, he says that his mother would have enjoyed this.

Does he mean Marin or Vera? Probably the latter, since Marin was little more than a stranger to him. But who knows exactly.

Julian certainly has a lot of processing still to do. The Sinner also circled back around to that weird rock at Mosswood and its significance for Vera and the community there.
