Sun managed to free Moon with his team, but ended up swatted away by Xurkitree, causing him to crash-land onto a car.
The other beasts broke out of Po Town's barrier, allowing them to wreak havoc on the rest of Ula'ula. The Captains headed off to evacuate any innocents caught in the beasts' attacks while Moon stayed behind to heal Sun's injuries.
When Moon pointed out that Sun reacted strangely when Gladion mentioned the Aether Foundation, Sun revealed the reason he had been collecting money was to buy back the island the Aether Foundation stole from his great-grandfather.
After receiving a bribe from Anabel, Sun allowed Moon to give the officer information about the beasts that appeared in Alola.
After having Looker sent off to investigate, Anabel told Sun and Moon about the beasts' species names as well as their codenames.

Moon disagreed with this statement and argued that if humans were the cause for the danger, then they should take responsibility by helping fix it as well.
Sun went off ahead and landed on Poni Beach , only to be attacked by a pair of wild Crabrawler , who stole the Mirage Berry and ran off with it.
Sun chased the thieves to their hideout at Seafolk Village , but was forced to battle the Crabrawler's leader, a Crabominable.
After being injured to the point where he couldn't move, Sun was rescued by Hapu , who used her Mudsdale to battle the attacking Crabrawler mob as well as summoning Machamp Shove to carry Sun.
By having Machamp shake the boat they were on with its strength, Sun rescued Mudsdale from one of Crabominable's attacks, leaving it wide open to be defeated.
The Crabominable Hapu defeated earlier followed them, hoping to join Hapu's team, but she rejected it and suggested it join Sun instead.
Crabominable reluctantly allowed Sun to catch it and was nicknamed Loot. After spotting Nebby encountering another Cosmoem, Hapu decided to postpone the grave visit and headed to the Poni Altar.
The Employees were forced to flee when a Xurkitree came crashing down on them after being defeated by Gladion, who had Lillie with him.
Gladion and Lillie revealed that they were siblings and were in possession of the Sun Flute , an instrument meant to be played with the Moon Flute in Hapu's possession.

A giant Ultra Wormhole with a Necrozma 's hand emerging from it opened in front of everyone. The hand possessed Solgaleo's body, forcing it to grab Sun and jump into the wormhole with it while Moon and Lunala followed after.
After Dulse and Zossie explained themselves, Moon asked the two if they could take her and Sun back to Alola. By disguising itself as a building, Stakataka hid itself from view, allowing it to easily capture Sun.
Moon and Lunala fought to rescue Sun, but were unable to use their full strength without risking Sun's safety. The Cells stuck to Stakataka, blinding it and preventing it from dodging Lunala's next attack.
The battle alerted Necrozma, who released Solgaleo and leapt from the Megalo Tower to try and absorb Lunala as well. Lunala tried fighting back, but was overpowered.
Angered by her presence, Sun claimed that Lusamine was responsible for taking away his great-grandfather's island.
Offended, Lusamine sent out a Nihilego and commanded it to become one with her. Sun had Lei attack Lusamine, but she retaliated by sending out the rest of her Ultra Beasts to attack.
At the top, the Cells and Core emerged from Sun's backpack and jumped into a wormhole leading to Alola Necrozma created. Moon shot a Beast Ball at Lusamine to separate her from Nihilego, but was blinded by a bright light just as she fired, causing her to miss.
The wormhole sucked everyone into it and dropped them off in the skies above Mount Lanakila. Sun was rescued by Zygarde, which had fused to become its Complete Forme.
Later, the group came across Lunala, which had been separated from Necrozma. After finding Lusamine, Lillie revealed that her missing father, Mohn , was still alive in Alola somewhere.
Overwhelmed with emotion, Lusamine separated from Nihilego, but passed out immediately afterward. Sun tried getting Zygarde to take Lusamine to a hospital, only to notice that Necrozma had arrived.
Despite their combined strength and Dollar evolving into Incineroar , Sun's team couldn't keep Necrozma pinned down for long. Cent chose to leave, feeling it had no reason to stay with Sun after learning he could not back his great-grandfather's island.
Necrozma retaliated by pulling Dulse from a wormhole it opened and absorbing the Ultranecrozium Z in his possession, allowing it transform into Ultra Necrozma.
The Ultra Recon Squad decided the best option to stop Necrozma was to capture it, but due to Lusamine's meddling, there were no Beast Balls left to use.
Nanu stated he could have another Beast Ball delivered, but told Sun and Zygarde to keep Necrozma busy while they waited for it to arrive.
Sun was saved by Solgaleo, who had revived itself by absorbing sunlight that passed through the wormhole Necrozma opened. Despite their combined efforts, Solgaleo's power wasn't enough to match Necrozma, who easily swatted it away.
Before it could follow up with another attack, Necrozma was confronted by a reformed Zygarde. Moon arrived afterward, using her medicine to revive Solgaleo.
Anabel arrived with the final Beast Ball, but it was destroyed by one final attack from Necrozma. Sun revealed he still had the Beast Ball that Moon tried using on Lusamine earlier.
The last Beast Ball was given to Zossie, who captured Necrozma, hoping that the Ultra Recon Squad could potentially heal its injured state.
Several months later, Sun returned to a life as a courier. The only exception is Dollar , who was explicitly stated to be named after a currency.

Later, Rotom appeared before Sun during the battle between Zygarde , and Ultra Necrozma, informing him about Zygarde's weakness. Despite this, Zygarde still ended up defeated.
It cannot keep its form for long and reverted to its component Cells immediately after. This Lunala was originally Nebby , a Cosmog that Lillie took care of after rescuing it from the Aether Foundation before evolving into a Cosmoem and later a Lunala.
Solgaleo was originally a Cosmog Guzma received from the Aether Foundation. It later evolved into a Cosmoem and then into Solgaleo at the Poni Altar.
It was captured by Necrozma , who wanted its light, but was later freed when Necrozma chose to go after Lunala instead.
This whole region feels like it is alive and there are very few places that are just empty space. The larger world that you have to explore keeps you on your toes and while you will be going out and looking for items and battles so that you can grind.
You will also want to explore to see what other secrets this region has. The battles are much easier to do and the way the game gives you more information about what your attacks do is great and welcome addition.
There are also these new Z moves that you can use once in a battle. I think as well as the battle, the overall gameplay is much more refined.

After beating the teacher in battle, Ilima invites the player to Hau'oli City after the player trains some more. When the player meets up with Ilima, two Team Skull Grunts appear, but they appear to be minor threats to Ilima.
After the battle, Ilima gets impressed by the player's team and allows the player to attempt his trial.
On the way to Verdant Cavern, a wild Delibird drags the player to the Berry fields as more Team Skull Grunts are causing trouble with other people.
The Grunts get defeated by the player, and they announce to mess with Ilima's trial. As the player makes it to Verdant Cavern, Ilima explains the rules of the trial and lets the player attempt it.
Midway into the trial, the Grunts from earlier challenge the player again and get defeated. After hearing that Lillie has gone missing, the player heads to Route 3 and into Melemele Meadow , where the player finds Lillie.
Lillie again loses Nebby and the player has to go find it. After finding Nebby, the player returns to Lillie and leave the meadow to be greeted by Hau and Kukui.
After hearing that Hau and the player passed their first trial, Kukui sends the player back to Iki Town for their grand trial with island kahuna Hala.
The player makes way to the next island, Akala Island. After defeating the island kahuna, Faba invites the player and Hau to Aether Paradise.
In the middle of the meeting, a weird creature from another universe attacks the player and after a short battle retreats to its own world.
Lusamine becomes interested in the odd creature and sends the duo to Ula'ula Island to complete their island challenge. On Ula'ula Island, the player prepares for the trials of Sophocles and Acerola.
After completing the two trials, the player meets the Team Skull leader Guzma and visits their base at Po Town. Gladion overhears the conversation and demands Hau and the player to travel with him to the ferry terminal for their next destination.
Before the trio leave, Nanu challenges the player as an island kahuna. Nanu gives the player another Z-Crystal and asks Gladion what he is depending on Team Skull for before departing.
Gladion reveals to the player and Hau that they have to return to Aether Paradise to rescue Lillie and Nebby. Despite the crazy story, the player and Hau tag with Gladion to Aether Paradise.
At Aether Paradise, employees begin to attack the team as they believe they are intruders. They eventually reach Faba and Faba indeed hints that there is something unusual about Aether Foundation.
After a battle from the player, Faba redirects the trio to the lower level of Aether Paradise, with the trio unaware that it is a trap to buy time.
After learning of the trap, they head back up to find Faba, who brought reinforcements to battle them. Wicke then appears to them and says that Lillie might be with the President, but it would be hard to get to them.
Faba then ambushes them again with more employees. The team defeat the employees and Faba again, resulting in Faba giving them access to the president's office.
The trio then spot Team Skull and Guzma in front of where they need to go. Gladion immediately takes on Guzma while Hau and the player take out the Grunts.
After taking out the Grunts, Guzma takes down Gladion and the player takes his place in battle. Guzma gets defeated by the player again and is forced to let the team move onwards.
The player then runs into Lusamine and Lillie. The player witnesses a darker side of Lusamine and learns that Nebby is being sacrificed to bring back the beast from earlier.
Lillie tries to reason with her mother, but fails to do so, resulting in the player going after Lusamine. Gladion and Hau catch up to the player and Gladion tells his mother not to open the Ultra Wormhole, but again, Lusamine ignores her children and opens the wormhole anyway.
This results in many Ultra Beasts being spread out in Alola. With the help of Guzma, Lusamine tries to put a stop to the team, but they put both of the villains and the beast to a stop.
As the Ultra Wormhole closes, Guzma, Lusamine, and the beast retreat to Ultra Space while Lillie checks on Nebby, who has now transformed into a new form.
The player and Lillie eventually find Hapu again, who reveals the island has no kahuna. The three then travel to the Ruins of Hope where Tapu Fini grants Hapu the honor of becoming Poni Island's new kahuna after they both teamed up to battle an Ultra Beast.
Lillie shows Hapu the flute Gladion gave her and are told the other flute is on Exeggutor Island. Lillie and the player then head to Exeggutor Island to obtain Lillie's flute counterpart.
After the player takes the other flute, the player and Lillie return to Poni Island and head to the Altar.
On the way to the Altar, they get ambushed by Team Skull. Team Skull battles the player in order to try and get them to talk about where Guzma disappeared to, but Plumeria puts a stop to the battling.
